We also offer installation services – with soapstone sinks, counter tops, and soapstone fire brick in fireplaces (wood burning, gas and decorative installs are all available). SOAPSTONE FIREBRICK

Firebricks 4 Cuts LabelsSoapstone firebricks exceed standard specification for firebox brick and residential fireplaces. 2½ inches is the minimum thickness recommended for an operating wood burning fireplace. For a decorative or gas fired fireplace 1¼ inch bricks can be used. There is no better material for the absorption and retention of heat. Soapstone is non flammable, won’t stain like marble and granite, will not stain or trap soot.

SOAPSTONE SINKS & BASINS

Soapstone sinks or basins come in two basic types.

(1) Carved soapstone basins are made from one piece of stone from which a basin has been hollowed.  These soapstone basins have no seams, and can have rounded corners.  In general, they cost about twice as much as slab assembled sinks in terms of contained volume.

(2) Slab assembled soapstone sinks are made from slabs attached together at seamed corners.soapstone sink The assembled method of constructing a soapstone sink leads to a less expensive finished product, with a spacious basin.

Soapstone sinks are available in many dimensions, configurations and styles to accent any room’s decor.  Creative, custom fabricated back splash and drainboards for home and commercial projects are this stone’s common domain.

SOAPSTONE NATURAL ENHANCER

Soapstone enhancer is a combination of canuba wax and walnut oil.  This is a new product that stays on the stone much longer than mineral oil.  It is food safe and contains no VOC’s.
